Layering Notes
1.) Number of subject and grounds
foreground, middle ground, and background
foreground- closest to viewer
middle- located between them
background- further from viewer
2.) Look through entire frame
avoid overlaps and mess
aim for clarity
organize layers into a clean frame
3.) Get close
the farther away, the less defined layers will look
connection can not be made
viewer is brought into scene
4.) Foreground is important
without strong foreground element, something will be missing
make or break the shot
foreground is what is seen first
5.) Still needs interest
look for primary subject
look for gesture
look for action
look for light,shadow, or color
look for a story to be told
6.) Wait for another layer to complete the frame
move to another location
switch up your angles
change foreground
change middle
change background
7.) Where to focus
alter the focus on different objects
focus foregound
focus middle
focus background
