Rules of Thirds Notes

-In order to achieve pictures of better quality, one must follow the rules of thirds

-They may prove tricky to follow at first but one can get the hang of the three rules through time

-The first rule is to simply not center our photographs right smack in the middle

-This is a habit done by most beginners when they pick up photography

-We choose to center it in the middle simply because that is where our eyes go to first

-The second rule is to focus on the lines instead of the rectangles when taking a picture

-This must be done in order to enhance the composition and create a better visual

-The third rule is to always pay attention to where your main subject of the picture will lay on the lines

-This must be done so we are aware of what will be seen first
